Berkshire pigs are a heritage breed and one of the oldest identifiable breeds. These black hogs, with 6 white “points” (white areas on their feet, snout and tail) were documented in the English “shire of Berk” over 350 years ago and made their way to the United States in the early 1800s. In 1875, breeders formed the American Berkshire Association (ABA).
Our Berkshire pigs are all purebred and registered with the American Berkshire Association. All of our breeding stock is DNA banked as well as Hal/stress and Napole tested as negative.
